# How to: Make an artifact citable

1. In the sidebar's **ARTIFACTS** section, move the pointer over the
   artifact and click its **⋮** menu.
2. Choose **Add to sources**.
3. It's copied into the project's folder and indexed — later questions can
   cite it exactly the way they cite any file you added yourself.
