# How to: Organize sources into folders

1. Move the pointer over the **SOURCES** heading in the sidebar and click
**Reorganize sources into folders** — the folder with a down arrow, which
appears on the right of the heading.
2. Say how you want things grouped — it starts with "group related files by
topic", and you can change that, for example "put the Q3 reports in a folder
called Q3", or "sort these invoices into folders by vendor."
3. Click **Propose folders**. Axon looks at what's in your sources and works
out where each file should go. This can take a minute on a small model, and
   **Stop** ends it.
4. **Nothing has moved yet.** You'll see the list of moves, each ticked.
Untick any you don't want, then click **Move N items**.
5. Axon moves them and says how many it moved. If a file changed since the
proposal, that one is reported and skipped; the rest still move.

The button isn't shown on a read-only copy of a shared project, because its
files aren't yours to move.

The agent can look at your folder and propose moves, but only you can apply
them. The file tree itself still handles renaming and deleting a single file
directly.
