Which revision was that answer based on?
Axon records every question, every answer, and each passage behind it — including the ones it retrieved and rejected as too weak. Each carries the hash the file had at the time you asked. Compare it later and the record tells you what has moved underneath you.

Sixty days' written notice [1], and the rates are held for the initial term [3]. The statement of work adds nothing that overrides either [2]. A 30-day notice figure appears only in an earlier draft that was never executed.

The master agreement has been revised since that answer was given. A reviewer following the citation today reads something else — and concludes the answer was wrong. The record is what sends them back to look.

Reads what you already have
PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CSV — plus scanned pages through OCR, badged as OCR in the citation so you always know when text was inferred rather than read. Point it at the folder where the client’s files already live; nothing is copied, so no second version drifts away from the one you work in.
It says when it doesn’t know
When nothing retrieved is close enough to the question, Axon says so and shows what it found and why it wasn’t enough. For work that gets reviewed, a confident wrong answer is the expensive failure.
One client at a time
A conversation retrieves from its own project and no other, so one engagement’s documents can’t ground another’s answer. Per-project ignore rules decide what gets indexed at all. Two clients in the same industry stay genuinely separate.
Deliverables, not chat logs
Word and Excel output with tables and figures intact. The audit record exports through the same writer, so the record and the report look like the same document.
Nothing to install but the app
One application — no server, no cloud account, no background process. Its models run locally — no API key and no network call — so it keeps working on a plane, at a client site, and inside a facility that doesn’t allow outside tools.
Runs on your hardware
No document limits, no query quotas and no seat counting, because the indexing happens on your own disk with your own processor. The only ceiling is the machine in front of you.
What this is, and what it isn’t
Axon supports your own documentation and review practices. It is not a validated system and makes no compliance claim on its own. Everything it produces is meant to be checked — which is why every answer comes with the page it came from.
