Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Exaflux website at exaflux.io, the Axon application, and any related services provided by Exaflux ("we", "our", "us"). By using our software or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. What we provide

Axon is an application you install on your own computer. It indexes documents you point it at and answers questions about them with citations. Your documents, and the index built from them, stay on your machine. Axon is free to use for one person, with no account required.

Axon Pro is a paid monthly subscription for one person. It adds sharing a project with other computers on your network, cloud-drive search and branded exports.

Synapse is in private preview and is not sold self-serve. Access is arranged individually and governed by the agreement covering it.

3. Accounts

An account is optional for Axon and required for a paid plan. You sign in with Google, Microsoft, or a link sent to your email address; we do not issue passwords.

You are responsible for the security of the email account and identity provider you sign in with. Tell us promptly at support@exaflux.io if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Axon Pro is billed monthly in advance and renews automaticallyuntil you cancel. The price you pay is the price shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe, in the currency shown there. Indian prices are quoted before GST, which is added at checkout where it applies.

By subscribing you authorise us, through our payment processor, to charge your payment method each month until the subscription is cancelled. Your bank may ask you to approve the mandate when you set it up, and may ask again for individual payments.

You may cancel at any time from Billing in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep Pro until then and are not charged again. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

If a payment fails we will email you and retry. We may suspend the paid features of a plan whose payment has not succeeded by the end of the paid period. Axon itself continues to work.

We may change our prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until we give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. By making a payment you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service. We do not receive or store your card details — those go directly to the processor, which is the point of using one.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense, or provide the software as a service to third parties
• Share one account between several people instead of each holding their own
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded
• Use the software to process material you have no right to process
• Interfere with our services or attempt to gain unauthorised access to them

7. Your content

The documents you use with Axon remain yours. We claim no rights over them, and on any plan they never pass through our servers. Sharing a project sends it directly between computers on your network, and cloud-drive search connects Axon on your machine directly to your own drive provider, under that provider's terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Exaflux website, the Axon and Synapse software, and all associated branding remain our property and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. A subscription grants a licence to use the software, not ownership of it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Exaflux shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of our website or software. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Disclaimer

The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Axon produces answers with citations from documents you supply; it is a tool for finding and evidencing what your documents say, and the responsibility for checking an answer before relying on it remains yours. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Termination

You may stop using our services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and will tell you why unless we are prevented from doing so. On termination, paid features cease; Axon and the documents on your own machine are unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date and, if you have an account, sent to you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use our services after that constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising under them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
