Download Axon
Free for one person. Axon is a desktop application — it indexes the documents on the machine it runs on, so there is no phone or browser version.
Needs macOS on Apple silicon, or Windows 10/11 or Linux with a graphics card that has 4 GB of its own memory. System requirements

macOS.dmg
Installing on macOS
- Open the .dmg and drag Axon into Applications.
- Open Axon from Applications. When macOS says it could not verify Axon, click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, and click Open Anyway next to the message about Axon. Confirm with your password.
Steps 2 and 3 are needed once, because Axon is not yet notarized by Apple. The warning does not mean anything was found in the file.
On macOS 14 or earlier, you can instead Control-click Axon in Applications, choose Open, then Open again.
The first time it opens, Axon's Setup assistant downloads the local models it runs on — about 3.8 GB, once. After that it works without an internet connection. Full installation guide
Windows.exe · .msi
Installing on Windows
- If your browser says the installer "isn't commonly downloaded": in Edge, open the download's ⋯ menu, choose Keep, then Show more and Keep anyway.
- Run the installer. If "Windows protected your PC" appears, click More info, check that the publisher is Exaflux Technologies Private Limited, then click Run anyway.
- Approve the administrator prompt — Axon installs for every user of the machine — and open it from the Start menu.
Both installers are signed by Exaflux Technologies Private Limited. The certificate is new, and SmartScreen warns about software it has not seen many downloads of yet; the warnings do not mean anything was found in the file. To roll Axon out to many machines, use the MSI package with Intune or Group Policy.
The first time it opens, Axon's Setup assistant downloads the local models it runs on — about 3.8 GB, once. After that it works without an internet connection. Full installation guide
Linux.AppImage · .deb
Installing on Linux
AppImage — make it executable and run it:
chmod +x Axon_*.AppImage ./Axon_*.AppImage
If it will not start and mentions FUSE, install libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on Ubuntu 24.04 and later).
Debian / Ubuntu — install the package with apt, which fetches what it depends on:
sudo apt install ./Axon_*.deb
The first time it opens, Axon's Setup assistant downloads the local models it runs on — about 3.8 GB, once. After that it works without an internet connection. Full installation guide
Axon indexes documents in place on your own disk and answers with a model running on your machine, so nothing you point it at is uploaded anywhere.
