# How to: Change where new projects are created

1. Open **Settings → General**.
2. Under **Projects**, use **Browse** next to **Projects folder** to pick a
   new location.
3. **Use the default location** resets it.

This only affects *new* projects from then on — the ones you already have
keep their folders. Changing a setting shouldn't move someone's files
without them asking.
