# How to: Give a project standing instructions

1. Open the project menu (the project name at the bottom of the sidebar) →
   **Manage project…** → **Project instructions**.
2. Type what should apply to every answer in this project — tone, scope,
   anything to ignore.
3. It saves automatically as you type.

These apply to every chat in the project, not just the one you're in. Clear
the field to remove them.
