How to: Get a better answer when Axon says it doesn't know


  1. Rephrase the question — different wording retrieves different passages.
  2. Ask a follow-up that names the thing you want; Axon can search more than once, with different phrasings, in the same turn.
  3. Confirm the file is actually indexed: open it from the Sources section and choose More actions → Chunks to see what Axon took from it.
  4. If it's a scanned PDF, check indexing has finished — OCR is the slowest stage.
  5. Open Show sources and retrieval (the columns icon at the top right of the chat) to see which passages were found and which were Not used.
